Don’t Sneeze Your Day Away
Evading pesky pollen is nearly inescapable. But you can try to minimize the amount of pollen you breathe. The following are steps to relieve allergy symptoms:
* Stay inside with the windows closed on dry, windy days, especially in the morning, when pollen levels are highest. You can get pollen counts for most areas online at www.aaaai.org/nab.
* Avoid mowing grass. If you must do yard work, wear a filter mask.
* Use an air conditioner at home and in your car.
* Shower before bedtime to wash pollen from your hair and skin.
If you are having a hard time fighting the pollen, ask your doctor which allergy treatment is right for you.
