Diabetic patients with circulatory problems and long-lasting foot wounds are at high risk to require hospitalization and even amputation.

Lack of feeling in the feet effect the nerves and make foot problems troublesome for diabetics.

The diabetic who has impaired sensation in the feet may not notice the wound until it begins to fester and infection can set in and eventually cause more serious problems. It may even require amputation. Wounds to watch out for include burns, punctures, cuts, trauma, and even ingrown toenails.

There’s no downside to good foot care. Taking care of your feet include, foot screening at every medical appointment and watch out for any kind of foot wound or possible problems.
